Today I’m excited to announce the official launch of Locate2u, an app that will revolutionise how you run your service or delivery business. In 2014 I started a company called Zoom2u, I started the company because I was so frustrated with how difficult it was to get a parcel delivered within hours rather than days in Australia. Today Zoom2u has over 2000 drivers across the country, more than 100,000 customers and has processed in excess of 1.6M deliveries via the platform. And yes, you can now book a delivery online and have it delivered within hours.
Prior to starting Zoom2u I ran another company called Connect2Field, a job management and scheduling application for field service companies. We had customers right across the globe and In late 2013 the company was acquired by Fleetmatics (NYSE:FLTX) which was later acquired by Verizon. I believe the product was then renamed to Verizon Connect Work.
Last year I had a company come to my home to clean some tiles. I waited all day for the person to arrive, it was super frustrating and it got me thinking. If I could have gotten a live eta and location for the tile cleaner, hours of my day could have been saved! I would also have been a much happier customer!
Taking what I had learned from running Zoom2u and Connect2Field, we set out to build a technology platform that helps service and delivery businesses provide their customers with a great customer experience.
