Delivery is now possible on a Saturday with UPS. The logistics giant has expanded its UPS Standard service, offering Saturday delivery to residential addresses in the eight largest markets in Europe without any extra fees.
This makes UPS the only carrier to provide this option, giving businesses a reliable way to reach over 130 million households on Saturdays.
Why does this matter? By offering Saturday delivery without extra fees, UPS allows businesses to meet customer expectations for faster and more reliable deliveries, particularly in competitive markets.
This could also be a crucial differentiator, improving customer satisfaction, expanding reach, and increasing sales opportunities. For consumers, it means receiving packages on a day that fits their schedule, reducing delays and improving the overall delivery experience.
UPS gives businesses flexibility
UPS EMEAI president Daniel Carrera says through the company’s new Saturday service, it’s giving greater flexibility to businesses. This will also help them improve their customer experience and grow in today’s market.
“It marks another step in our strategy to make logistics a competitive advantage for our customers by providing them with more options to ship than ever before,” says Carrera.
The service is now available in eight major European markets: Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, and the United Kingdom.
Faster deliveries and more control for shoppers
In announcing this new expansion, UPS highlights findings in a report on expectations of online shoppers for “faster delivery” times in selected categories worldwide in 2023.
The report finds that nearly two-thirds of global shoppers expect to receive online purchases within 24 hours. This service expansion helps speed up deliveries and offers more scheduling options, like UPS My Choice.
This builds on other recent enhancements like Time Window Delivery, Delivery Photo, and Follow My Delivery, giving recipients more convenience, control, and an overall better experience.
