JD.com is launching three new shipping services to benefit US, Japan, and Singapore customers, including cutting shipping costs. The company hopes the new offerings, Air Express, Air Standard, and Sea Economical, will make overseas shopping more affordable.

They reduced the costs for orders under 1kg to the US by 50%. Sea Economical rates start from $8. The company is focusing on customer satisfaction, offering more cost-effective and efficient delivery options at a time when customers are feeling the pressure of the rise in the cost of living.

JD.com’s extensive infrastructure

Parcel and Postal Technology International says introducing these services is part of JD.com’s strategy to leverage its extensive infrastructure. It includes advanced logistics and transactional processing capabilities.

JD.com is offering regional free shipping on eligible orders for a selection of 400,000 self-operated products.

The e-commerce platform is flexing its mussels in the global markets to improve the shipping experience for international customers.

JD.com is boosting customer satisfaction

For JD.com, reducing shipping costs is just one piece of the puzzle. The company is also rolling out free regional shipping services to attract more customers to the US, Japan, and Singapore.

Here’s how it works:

  • US customers can enjoy free Air Standard shipping on orders over $87.20.

  • Singaporean customers benefit from free Sea Economical shipping on orders exceeding $30.76

These incentives are expected to drive more online visits to its platform and boost sales volumes. It also has the potential to increase existing customer loyalty.

All self-operated merchandise will be packed and transported to JD.com’s warehouses in China. International logistics partners will fulfill the orders.

By focusing on cost reduction and customer satisfaction, JD.com is positioning itself as a formidable player in the global e-commerce landscape.
