New Parcel Pending by Quadient smart lockers has been installed in Hadleigh and Framlingham, Suffolk in the UK. The East of England Co-op, independent of the Co-operative Group and operating in Norfolk, Essex, and Cambridgeshire, has a history spanning over 150 years.
These smart lockers are part of the retailer’s plans to expand in-store services, with more lockers coming to Norfolk and Essex soon. They will join other popular parcel services like Evri, DPD, In-Post, and Amazon lockers.
Picking up parcels while shopping
Parcel Pending by Quadient is a network of smart parcel lockers used by major carriers like Royal Mail, DPD, Evri, and UPS. Visitors to East of England Co-op stores can conveniently pick up their securely stored parcels. The lockers also have a built-in label printer, making it easy for people to drop off returned items.
East of England Co-op COO Andy Rigby, says this new partnership will make shopping even more convenient. “People’s lives are busier than ever, and I know our communities will benefit from being able to pick up their parcels while they pick up other essentials,” says Rigby.
