Panther Logistics, the UK’s leading 2-person logistics company, has launched a new offering allowing customers to choose delivery during standard office hours.
Customers can now receive deliveries between either 8 am and 4 pm or 9 am and 5 pm on weekdays and weekends.
A two-man delivery service involves a driver and delivery partner. This service is often used for the delivery of heavy, bulky items. The two-man team also assembles, installs, or removes old items.
Specific delivery requirements
The company’s sales director, Samuel Scott, says this latest offering will give customers flexibility and provide convenience. “With delivery outside of business hours often being unsuitable for many B2B customers, we wanted to hone our offering in order to suit their specific delivery requirements at a day and time that suited them – in turn helping them to focus on what really matters, running their own business,” he says.
Wilson Barrett founded the Panther Group as a freight forwarding company in 1989. In 2010, the company changed its focus to offer next-day two-man delivery. The company offers a range of services. These include unpacking and removing packages and delivery to the room of your choice.
Earlier this year, Panther Logistics was appointed by Eschmann, a market leader in infection control and decontamination solutions, to enhance its last-mile offering.
In 2013, Panther Logistics acquired Hi-Way Express. The acquisition gives the company the opportunity to increase its critical mass.
Benefits of two-man delivery
In an article on its website, Panther Logistics details the benefits of a two-man delivery service. One of these benefits is for companies to stay ahead of the game. “Getting a two-man delivery service for your business will help you stay ahead and differentiate you from your competitors.”
Mordor Intelligence reports that technological innovations and robotics for automated sorting in hubs and depots are helping the UK’s delivery market to fulfill promises faster.
Irish-based warehousing and fulfillment services company Meteor Space says the two-man delivery market has become popular. “When you are dealing with heavy or luxurious items, you want to make sure they are delivered as safely as possible, and that is where two-man delivery comes in. This service enables you to keep all items safe and secure during shipping, and all your items reach their destination in the best possible condition,” the company’s website reads.
