Getting your post has just become a little faster. Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) now has a first-of-its-kind drive-thru post office.

This idea came from Davao City’s traffic regulations, which aim to ease congestion in busy areas.

The drive-thru service offers a modern twist on traditional postal services, making it easier to send or receive registered and express mail quickly, whether domestic or international.

The Davao City Central Post Office is located in a busy part of the city, where traffic and parking have been constant issues.

Postmaster general Luis Carlos says: “This represents a forward-thinking approach for  postal service delivery, offering a more accessible and client-friendly solution while maintaining compliance with traffic regulations.”

Ultimate convenience for customers

It makes postal services more accessible and efficient, allowing people to complete their transactions quickly without leaving their vehicles, which is especially useful for those with busy schedules or mobility issues.

With transactions limited to a few minutes, customers can save time, which can increase satisfaction and encourage more people to use postal services.

This move shows a commitment to modernizing traditional services, keeping them relevant and efficient in a fast-paced world, and improving the overall customer experience.

Postmaster general Carlos said they support the city’s efforts to improve traffic flow and make getting around easier in crowded areas.

Meet customer’s needs

The new Drive-Thru Post Office at Davao City’s Central Post Office will change how people handle their mail, providing a faster and more convenient option for customers.

PHLPost will offer a designated parking area for customers to quickly complete their transactions. This service meets customer needs while supporting the city’s traffic management efforts.

The drive-thru service allows for fast transactions, taking only five to eight minutes to reduce wait times.
